In one incident, a 61-year-old man, Babulal Shethia, was returning home after getting a checkup from a doctor near the police headquarters in the Shahibaug area when he was hit by an unknown vehicle driver and died. In another incident, a 70-year-old man, Hiralal Pitwa, was crossing the road on Drive-In Road when he was hit by an unknown vehicle driver and died. In this accident too, the old man died after a short treatment. The traffic police have registered a case against the absconding vehicle drivers in both the accidents and are conducting further investigation.
