In a targeted operation by the North West Zone Solid Waste Management Department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, 83 business units across all wards were fined a total of Rs. 1 lakh for polluting public roads. Among the 105 units inspected, 9.7 kg of plastic was seized, and fines amounting to Rs. 1,01,700 were imposed.
