The contractor is now accountable for the Hatkeshwar Flyover's maintenance for a decade, following modifications to the tender conditions. Previously, with a defect liability period of just one year, the contractor sought loopholes to evade responsibility. However, under the revised terms, this period has been prolonged to ten years. Should any damage occur to the bridge within this timeframe, repairs will be funded by the contractor. Furthermore, the defect liability period for the road and railing has been set at five years.
