The central zone of the city, including Khadia, Raipur, Manek Chowk in Kot area, and several ward areas like Kalupur, Jamalpur, and Daryapur, has been plagued by frequent complaints of polluted water entering the municipal system. To address this issue permanently, a comprehensive plan is underway to replace water and drainage lines in phases. This significant infrastructure upgrade is estimated to cost Rs 333 crore.
