Five arrested, including a policeman, for circulating fake notes.
In a significant crackdown in Surat district, police apprehended five individuals, including a police constable, involved in circulating counterfeit currency notes. This operation exposed a web of counterfeit currency exchanges, where miscreants circulated fake notes worth 15 lakhs by taking a real 5 lakh rupees from petrol pumps and hotel managers. During the entire operation, one police constable was aiding them and even threatened the managers with a gun.
