Lakhan, a fifth-grade student from a Surat school, visited the Dumas seashore for a temple visit. Unfortunately, he drowned in the sea. Despite extensive searches by his family, he remained missing until he miraculously found support on a submerged Ganesh idol. After surviving for more than 24 hours, he spotted a fishing boat, 'Navdurga,' 18 nautical miles from the coast and was rescued by the fishermen. Lakhan was then taken to Dholai port in Navsari, where the police and an emergency ambulance were waiting. After 36 hours, Lakhan was reunited with his parents. He received medical attention at Nirali Hospital in Navsari, where Gujarat BJP chief and local Lok Sabha member CR Patil inquired about his health.
