Dispute over bus fares for PM and Home Minister’s events:
Special bus services were provided by AMC for various events organized by the state or the central government. Around 5072 special buses were plying during these events. A proposal to pay Rs 3 crore as rent against the loan given by the corporation as a deposit has been placed in the standing committee to meet on Thursday. This issue is currently being discussed in the Standing Committee set to meet on Thursday. The opposition parties have criticized the move, arguing that the government should pay the corporation for using these buses for state or central government events rather than recovering expenses.
