It has come to light that drivers of chemical tankers traveling from Hazira's Adani port to Anand and Uttar Pradesh have been involved in chemical theft. During the night, these drivers used to transfer chemical barrels from the tankers and conceal them. Acting on this information, the Ichchapore police apprehended two drivers in the act of emptying chemicals near the NTPC Bridge. The police have confiscated 95 liters of chemicals and a tanker valued at Rs 1.30 crore.
