The District Education Officer (DEO) has issued show cause notices to 13 schools that failed to promptly submit the fifth installment bills of the seventh pay commission for 176 retired employees, despite prior government grants and DEO office instructions. These schools have been given a one-day deadline to provide reasons as to why a 25 percent reduction in their grant should not be imposed for this negligence.
