In preparation for various festivals like Rakshabandhan, Ganesh festival, Navratri, Dussehra, and Diwali, the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has been conducting food quality checks across the city. Shockingly, out of 30 samples taken, 6 have been found to be adulterated. These tainted food items include chili powder, jalebi, and motichoor ladoo. Furthermore, 24 samples have been labeled as sub-standard. The VMC is taking action against the food business operators responsible for the adulterated samples, in accordance with the Food Safety and Standards Act of 2006.
