Despite the AMC’s efforts to curb the use of prohibited plastic and paper cups, 11,736 cases were filed in a year, resulting in a penalty collection exceeding Rs. 94 lakh. The Solid Waste Department also took action against the dumping of construction site debris in various city plots.
