The GST department has conducted raids on dryfruit sellers in Surat; so far, a total of 15 dryfruit sellers have been caught evading taxes worth Rs. 1.10 crore. 5% tax was paid on mix dryfoot instead of 12%. Also, irregularities have been revealed in the sale of good-quality cashew nuts.
