Gujarat Government has passed a law for the amount of maximum weight that a school going kid should be carrying according to the class they are studying in. But most of the schools do not follow this rule and take the least care on how much weight a kid is carrying in his/her bag. To inquire this matter, a parent from LIttle FLowers School checked the weight of the bags of 1 kids from 2nd standard. To her surprise, the average weight of all the kids came around 6Kg which is way pass the maximum weight limit. The law states that the average weight of the bag should be around 10% of the weight of the kid, which normally comes to around 1.5 to 2kgs. This shows that kids carry 3X weight everyday.
