A tour operator was booked for allegedly cheating at least six people to the tune of Rs 12 lakh. The accused, Bhavesh Chauhan owns a company, Travel Unlimited at Old Padra Road. He is now absconding after it came to the light that he had handed over fake booking vouchers of hotels and travel tickets to the victims. Mehul Modi who is one of the victims had booked travel and air tickets through Chauhan's company to Sikkim and Darjeeling for his family and had paid Rs 2.2 lakh for the trip. When the Modi family reached Darjeeling they found that their rooms were never booked and they had to do their accommodations on their own. When they returned from Bagdora to Delhi airport, they were informed that their tickets were cancelled.
