India's deaf cricket team loses against Srilanka at Deaf ICC T20 Worldcup final today. India lost by 32 runs but had targetted for 145 runs. However, India stood as the first runner-up in the match. Imran Sheikh of Vadodara was two times man of the match in the whole series. The match was held at Gurugram from November 22 to November 30 and was organised by Deaf International Cricket Council. Sixteen deaf and mute players were selected in a fourteen-day camp which was organised in the city. All the cricketers had undergone several fitness tests before being picked up for the tournament. The team was lead by Imran Sheikh who had earlier played in a 50-over world cup. Players selected for the WorldCup include- Rohit Saini, Jitendra Tyagi, Fahimuddin, Virendra Singh, Yashwanth Naidu, Sai Akash, Manjeet Kumar, Pradeep S, Santy, Vipul Patel, Akash Singh, Sushil Yadav, Nadeem Sheikh, Rajesh and Ravi Tailor. Kiran Sane was their fitness coach and MP Singh, the head coach.
