German NRI becomes the first woman to handover her land for the Bullet train project. Savita Ray whose roots are in Chansad Village but after marriage, she shifted to Germany 33 years back. She has around 71 acres of land at Chansad area, out of which she gave 11.94 hectares to National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited(NHSRCL) at cost of Rs 302343. She came specially to hand over the land for the project. This stretch of land is the first piece of land which NHSRCL has acquired for the project in the state. The 508KM corridor would require around 1400 hectares of Gujarat and Maharashrtra, out of which 1120 hectares is privately owned. 6000 land owners will be compensated.
