Today at Sayjaigunj circle members from transgender community staged protest against the The Trafficking of Persons (Prevention, Protection and Rehabilitation) Bill, and The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Bill passed in Loksabha last week. Lakshya trust and Vikal organization backed this protest. As per bill transgender members should give up 'asking money' work - as per transgender members these activities are main source of income. Bill also ask them to start living with their families or either get get admitted at rehabilitation centre . They also demanded jobs in Government Critics say the bill is problematic because it requires members of the trans community to be assessed by “screening committees”
