A group of con-men who were posing as police has been apprehended, blackmailed to trap in a rape case . Two of the accused of a gang of five, named Salim Sheikh and Dawood Ghachi have been caught while the other three members are on the run.
The five had concocted a scheme where they would pose as police and extract money out of people. On 4th February, one of the accused, a woman, hitch-hicked a lift from a man on a scooter near Ajwa Nimeta gardens.
After that, the other four posed as the police a little ahead on the road, stopped him, and asked the victim what he was doing with the girl. They managed to extract Rs 1,6
