The people of Vadodara paid a heartfelt tribute to the jawans who were martyred in the Pulwama attack with candlelight vigils, condolence meetings, and protest marches. Instead of the DJ party MSU Student Union had organized on Friday, the student union instead decided to keep a prayer union. Events planned across the day by other faculties were all canceled. The Faculty of Management Studies held a condolence meet while the Faculty of Family and Community Sciences organised a candlelight vigil. Students of MSU arts burnt an effigy and shouted anti-terrorist slogans. MSU officials condemned the attack and called it cowardly. Activities for college fests which were going to be held in Parul and SVIT colleges were canceled and candlelight vigils. Young students from the Faculty of Science staged a procession at 11 am in protest of the Pulwama attack. Also the citizens of Vadodara paid tribute in many ways.
