It's only been three days since PUBG was banned in Vadodara by the police commissioner. The police came out with a notification on 13th March that stated whoever would be found playing PUBG in a public place will be booked and prosecuted under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code. The ban is enforced till 12th April. The first arrest took place when the police acted on a tip from a reliable source while patrolling and arrested four men for playing PUBG in public in Akota, near Radhakrishna char rasta at night on 15th March. The accused were taken to police station and since the accused have used their mobile phones to play the game, they have been confiscated. The collective cost of the four mobiles of the accused amounts to Rs 1,90,000. In another isolated incident, three men were arrested for playing the mobile game in Ratri Bazaar in Karliebaug.
