Vadodara observed Fire Service Day with a two-minute silence in the memory of the firemen who were martyred in the line of duty.
This day is celebrated throughout the country in tribute to the 66 firemen during the rescue operations at Mumbai Port in 1944.
The firemen were honored for their service by commissioner Ajay Bhadoo in presence of the chief fire office
