The VMSS has cleaned up the landfill in Muchmoda and freed up 35000 sq meter of space occupied by the landfill. Zimba Global Environ Solutions Pvt Ltd company helped the VMSS transform the waste site into a clean site. The Atladra Dumping Ground in Muchmoda, which has been used as a landfill site since 1975, has around 3 lakh metric tonne of waste. The Zimba Global Environ Solutions Pvt Ltd helped clean around 1.5 lakh metric tonne of waste since the plant was set up in June 2018, and the processing started in July 2018. This was done using biomining of solid waste. This is the first time this sort of recycling has started in Gujarat under the Swacch Bharat campaign. And 70% of the waste site has been cleaned. All the waste has been 100% recycled and around 35,000 sq mt land is now clean and waste free.
