The cultural city of Vadodara has many secrets hidden in its heritage that is inspired from various other cultures to make it feel like ours today. In a first of its kind act, the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) launched a book on Thursday on the age-old heritage of the city. Published by Vadodara Smart City Development Ltd, the driving force of the Smart City Initiative, this book written by the heritage enthusiast Rajendra Shah. Shah had retired from the civic body, however was brought back again for the book ‘Vadodara: Janyu Chhata Ajanyu’. The Smart City proposal of VMC includes various heritage sites around the city and aims at strategical promotion of these key areas to attract heritage tourists. More such sites related to heritage will be developed as well.
