Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited (MGVCL) is the leading Power Distribution Company in Gujarat which distributes electricity in the central area of Gujarat. It is responsible for the reliable and affordable power distribution in the residential areas, commercial complexes, streetlights, waterworks, agriculture, traction as well as industries. The employees of MGVCL are on duty every season and even during the challenging times of the pandemic, their performance was applauded by the government and the people too. But recently, 3,500 employees of MGVCL have decided to take a mass leave on July 1. This step was taken after 800 of the employees were given a collective notice by the management and the MD.
