Amit Chunara, a resident of Baranpura Chunaravas, sells vegetables to support his wife, two daughters, and an 11-year-old son. While Amit's eldest daughter lives in Akbarpur village of Khambhat taluka, the other daughter and son live with their parents. For some time now, Amit has been suspecting his wife of having an affair with a person from Khambhat, due to which there were frequent quarrels between the two. In the early morning of Friday, the husband with the help of friends strangled his sleeping wife to death with a pillow. The wife made an attempt to escape when her husband was pressing her mouth with the pillow. Meanwhile, their daughter who was sleeping in the other room woke up by the sound and saw her father with his two friends killing their mother. Amit told his crying daughter, "Don't cry.
