An average of 300 patients is treated at Sayaji Hospital for coronavirus, including the isolation ward and ICU. Under the guidance of OSD Dr. Vinod Rao, Administrator Ashok Patel and Advisor Dr. Minu Patel has started physiotherapy sessions for these patients to help them both mentally and physically.
For the physiotherapy treatment, the hospital has coordinated with Physiotherapy College. Under the leadership of the Senior Physiotherapist and Assistant Professor Dr. Chetna Seju, more than 25 physiotherapists visit for Yoga, laughing therapy, and walking exercises with the patients. The physiotherapists perform these exercises safely by wearing the PPE kits.
This keeps the patients engaged and after staying away from the family and friends for such a time, it alleviates their loneliness.
