The trimming of 27 thousand conocarpus #trees started in Vadodara #city.
Conocarpus trees have been planted on the divider in areas including #Ajwa Road and Waghodia Road. This was also opposed by environmentalists. Importantly, planting of these trees was stopped for 3 years as Conocarpus absorbs large amounts of groundwater. As a result, it has been decided by the #municipality to keep the height of these trees at 6 feet.
