In a video conference held by Vadodara District Collector, Shalini Agarwal with Taluka Health and Medical Officers, she gave detailed guidance on increasing the number of beds in recognized COVID hospitals and COVID Care centers. This is done to make the treatment available for the patients in the rural areas, so they do not have to be brought to Vadodara. Chief District Health Officer Dr. Uday Tilawat said this plan will increase the facility and capacity of the COVID treatment which will be completed by the end of September. At present, there are four existing COVID Care Centers in Vadodara, Dabhoi, Padra, and Savli talukas of the district with a bed capacity of 120 each. As per the instructions, new COVID Care Centres one each in Karjan, Shinor, and Savli, will be started and the number will increase to 7.
