To investigate the irregularities taking place in the fair price shops, prompt action has been taken by the Supply Branch of the Collectorate in Karelibagh, Anandnagar by the city police. This is done as per the instructions and guidance of District Collector Shalini Agarwal. According to the information, with immediate effect, the license of the shop involved in this incident has been suspended for 90 days. 4,194 kg of leftover grains, sugar, and pulses have been seized from the shop and a police complaint has been lodged against the persons involved. The district supply officer said that they got the information from Sub-Inspector of DCB, Vadodara City that Deepak Patni, a shopkeeper was persuading to sell the government food grains privately in Karelibagh Anand Nagar. Upon receiving the information, immediately the Chief Supply Inspector and the team were dispatched to the spot by the officer.
