Dr. Vinod Rao, Officer on Special Duty and Education Secretary, held a meeting with Municipal Commissioner P. Swaroop and the concerned officers of VMC and reviewed in detail the situation of Covid in Vadodara city.
He said that currently 2,100 admitted patients are being treated in government and private hospitals in Vadodara against a total of 5,500 beds available for the treatment of Covid. However, as part of precautionary measures as well as advance planning and proactive approach, it is planned to increase the number of beds to 7,000 in the next four to five days by adding 100 more private hospitals to the treatment of covid through registration.
