A sudden fire at the Royalty Office at the Vadodara Collectorate created panic in employees as they rushed out to safety. There was a sudden flurry of smoke and the employees rushed out of the office.  A team of Vadodara Fire Brigade went to the Collectorate and controlled the fire. However, furniture and polling data from the last 4-5 years were gutted before the fire was brought under control. Following the fire, all the power supply to the collector's office was disrupted and work also stopped during this time. Notably, the filling up of forms for the Municipal elections has started on Monday, and the fire also affected the election process. However, after the fire was brought under control, the power company and the electric department resumed the power supply.
