The 45-year-old man, who was detained late at night by the city's Jawaharnagar police station, died under mysterious circumstances. Family members put allegations on the police for hitting him on the chest which led to his death. Police are conducting a panel post mortem at Sayaji Hospital to find out the exact cause of the death. As per available details Mahendrabhai alias Maheshbhai Padhiar 45, from Jalaram Nagar in Bajwa village lived with his wife Jashoda Ben and his mother. Last night he was taken to the police station by the Jawaharnagar police station on the basis of the call from the Police Control Room. Meanwhile, he died mysteriously this morning which shocked the family. They put allegations on the police for his death and refused to accept the body until the post-mortem report came.
