Around 17 thousand rationing shopkeepers across the state went on strike:
The rationing shopkeepers have finally resorted to an indefinite strike as various pending demands, including increase in commission and grain thickening, have not been resolved despite several representations to the government. As a result of which 20 lakh ration card holders of the state, including 2.97 lakh ration card holders of Rajkot, will not get grain-supply, sugar and oil given by the government at a concessional price will not be available during the festival.
