Children need a safe space no matter where they are. In an attempt to ensure that, Vadodara Police Department is developing a corner for the children. In a special drive, the department has initiated a project to make police stations child-friendly, especially for the children of the women personnel. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights guidelines is being followed.
Every police station has 30% women cops and many have children. The women cops work for long hours and it becomes difficult for them to look after their kids. The women cops can keep the kids at these child-friendly corners in the police station.
