With the coordination of District Administration and Health System, the facility of covid treatment is being made available in the Community Health Centers at the taluka level in Vadodara district. As part of this, the District Collector has provided 50 oxygen concentrators at community health centers and other government covid centers providing covid treatment in the district. These are very useful in covid treatment for oxygen back-up and all 50 oxygen concentrators have been procured at the district. An oxygen concentrator is a medical device that can provide a small amount of instant oxygen to a patient without a cylinder. This medical device can take oxygen from the air, purify it, supply oxygen to the patient, increase the level of SPO2 and relieve shortness of breath. This device is useful up to 5 liters when the patient needs a small amount of oxygen. It does not require any oxygen cylinder or refilling.
