An accused in the drug smuggling incident turned out to be one of the accused of the 1993 Mumbai Blast. Ahmedabad’s Ramol Police stopped a vehicle passing by Maharashtra during the checking and arrested a woman along with two men, in possession of MD Drugs worth 37.66 lakhs. Ramol Police sought details and a criminal background report from the Mumbai Police regarding the accused, in which one of the men arrested, Ayub Qureshi was found guilty in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts and had also served a sentence for the same.
