There is great resentment among all Saints and Priests of the temple and faith over the Salangpur Hanuman temple paintings controversy. These saints held a meeting at the Ashram in Ahmedabad, over the controversy. They collectively decided against attending any events on the Swaminarayan sects and have vowed to not visit any Swaminarayan temple.
