Urad village of Karjan taluka has a population of only 1,073. Sarpanch Prashant Patel said that due to vigilance of the villagers and strict adherence to the instructions of the government, corona has not spread in the village. The villagers also effectively followed the rules like wearing mask, social distance, frequent hand washing to keep the village free from corona. He said that the entire village has been sanitized seven times and the drinking water tank is cleaned frequently so that people do not fall prey to any disease. Teachers, Asha workers, Anganwadi workers have been instrumental in keeping the village free from corona.
