According to a report released by GEMI (Gujarat Environment Management Institute), Lalpari and Randarada lakes have been found to be contaminated. The report provides information on 13 lakes in five cities of Gujarat. In this report, it has been indicated that industrial pollution and dumping site waste are affecting the Lalpari and Randarada lakes. Additionally, an increase in biological waste, including algae and other bacteria, has also been observed in the lakes.
