A complaint has been registered against a youth who lured his maternal uncle's daughter (mama ki beti) for marriage and took her to a hotel in Vadodara and raped her after mixing an intoxicant in the drink. The victim alleged in the complaint that when her brother and sister-in-law came to Vadodara to asked about the marriage, the accused refused and said he will not marry the victim. Gotri police have registered a case based on the victim's complaint and initiated legal action in the matter. As per the details of the complaint lodged at the Vadodara Gotri Police Station after being transferred from the Delhi Police Station states, the girl was visiting her Aunt (Foi/Bua) in the Vadodara Gotri area in March 2021.
