Vadodara City Crime Branch arrested one interstate housebreaking burglar for theft of laptops, mobile phones, cash from the homes of students living as PGs. Tabrez alias Iqbal Khan from Haryana targetted such students through Google search and stole items from their houses. He is involved in thefts in Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Haryana, and Andhra Pradesh in the last two years. An offense was registered in Bapod police station about the theft of four laptops, eight mobile phones, a hard disk, and hands-free from a house shared by students living as paying guests. Police began an investigation after the complaint and after accessing CCTV and other technical sources found the involvement of one Tabrez alias Iqbal Khan resident of Haryana. The police team head by PSI RK Torani lives in disguise as a local and after confirmation arrested him.
