Correspondingly, the Health Branch of Vadodara District Panchayat has deployed 661 teams for the control of mosquito borne diseases in the areas prone to it. These teams have conducted house visits, registered cases of fever, detected mosquito breeding grounds in the houses and carried out prevention and eradication operations. So far, 26% of the houses have been covered under the survey. The teams inspected 75,110 houses and inspected 3,20,636 water containers and 4,977 containers of mosquito breeding grounds were made safe by proper cleaning and the breeding grounds of mosquitoes found in 2,808 houses were eliminated.
