A procedure that has rarely been performed even in these hospitals has been successfully performed in the Radiation Oncology Department of Sayaji Hospital to relieve an elderly patient from a cancerous ulcer of the palate without shedding a drop of blood, pain, or any side effects. Dr. Anil Goyal, Head of the Department, informed that the cancer was caused by a cancerous ulcer in the palate of this elderly patient. They decided to cure it with the help of a very advanced and expensive linear accelerator machine for radiation-based treatment of cancer installed at the department with the help of the state government.
