Sayaji Baug Zoo, Vadodara, will welcome a pair of lions from the SakkarBaug Zoo, Junagadh. The authorities are hopeful that this young pair will reproduce and bring more cubs to the zoo. The couple is currently quarantined and will be shown to the public after 15 days.
The young, healthy couple arrived in Vadodara on Sunday, to the delight of zoo officials, who awaited their arrival with bated breath.
The duo had previously broken when the zoo lost a lioness to an injury. The lions' current strength is three, two males and one female, following the arrival of the young pair.
