Employees at the Sayaji Hospital's attached medical college have gone on strike in protest over the contractor's non-payment of salaries for the past two months, as well as inconsistent salary payments each month. They've been on strike for the second day and say they'll keep going until their problems get resolved.
The class three and four employees, on the other hand, raised concerns about irregular payment and went on strike for the past two days. They desire the same regular pay as employees in classes one and two.
