The Vadodara Municipal Corporation has banned the use of single-use plastic as per the order of the Central Government. As per the Government Plastic Waste Management Rules 2016 under Swachh Bharat Mission, plastic bags with a thickness of less than 50 microns have been banned by the central government. The corporation will take legal action against the violators of the law.  Various measures are being taken to save the environment in the wake of global warming in the country and the world. The declaration of the Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change of the Central Government has been amended by a letter from the Mission Director, Swachh Bharat Mission Urban. The government will be taking out this operation in phases. Right now, single-use plastic with less than 50 microns is banned.
