As the name suggests 'Jeevan Rakshak' all 42 Ambulances (108) with staff are ready to serve the citizens in case of any emergency in the times of Uttarayan. The festival of kites is a festival when people go through lots of risks. It's just not birds who are injured but also people who are engrossed in going behind the kites and falling into injuries. The ambulances are equipped to provide basic first-aid and also take the patient to hospitals. During the time of Uttarayan festivities, they receive maximum calls of injuries and emergencies caused to chasing kites, or injury because of kite threads for two-wheeler drivers. Hence, the staff has been asked to stay on duty and postpone their leaves. "Our ambulances are well-equipped to tackle an injury and comfort the patient," said Nilesh Bharpoda, Manager of 108 Ambulance service.
