Electric vehicles are replacing fuel-based vehicles due to global warming and the fuel price hike, making it impossible for middle-class families or people from other professions to afford fuel-based automobiles. The state government took up the initiative and signed MoU for setting up Electric Commercial Vehicle Production Plant with US-based Triton Electric Vehicle LLC. Triton Electric Vehicle will start the plant in the current financial year 2022-23 with an investment of Rs 1200 crore. MoUs were concluded in the presence of CM Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar for the establishment of this plant which would provide direct and indirect employment opportunities to about 10,000 people.
