The problem of traffic jams in Ahmedabad is getting worse hence, the government is working on a new bridge project to ease traffic congestion. The system is also working towards repairing the years-old existing bridge in the city and making it accessible to motorists. Under which the authorities have now speeded up the work of repairing the railway overbridge connecting the Jivraj Park area of west Ahmedabad with Shyamal Char Rasta, Shivaranjini crossroads. The total worth of the project is 80 lakhs which will be provided by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC). This bridge is also known as Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Bridge, which was built by Ahmedabad Urban Development Association (AUDA) in 1995. At present, this 27-years-old bridge is in need of repairs.
