Rabies Prevention Day is celebrated every year on 28th September, as part of the Animal Husbandry Department in collaboration with various organizations at the Veterinary Polyclinic near Shastri Bridge. It has been planned to provide free anti-rabies vaccine and deworming services to pets and stray animals. It can be availed between 8 am to 12 pm. Anti-rabies means anti-rabies vaccine was first discovered by the scientist Louis Pasteur. On his holy day, Anti-rabies day is celebrated through various awareness programs to protect animal and human health.
